Here Comes The Times, Working Class Indy Rock n Roll Starfrontedby two brothers Naza and Mono was formed on 31stAugust2004...TanSriP.Ramlee, Bob Dylan, Steve marriot, John lennon, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, David Bowie, New Order, Morissey, Oasis and The Corals are among their favorites and inspiration.
These are the individuals & bands that influenced them in terms of songwriting as well as fashion and the attitude too... On 30 November 2004 the band released their 1st album entittled "SODAPOP ROK & ROL".
The album was nominated Top 5 best new artist to Anugerah Industri Muzik Malaysi2005.An elegantly"indypopmelayuklasikcelebration" in malaya because thousands of indierockmelayu band was born on the street that day..Meanwhile 2007 after repackaged their first album,The Times release " NADA MELANKOLIK MALAYA" with a new benchmark where they are marching to the sound of melancholy & psychadelic...The album has been sold around 10 thousand copies nationwide even without any good airplay and promotions.
The year 2008 when indiepop music was started well received by the mainstream,The Times is back with their latest ziggykinky pop indie fully Bahasa Malaysia album title"MODERNMINIMALISGLAMOUR".Sadly they recorded it without Alim & Nazreen who left the band due to some personal problem & reasons.
Naza has to take all the duties as the guitarhero and theymanaged to finished the recording session in one month..This time they hiring naza's oldproducer during his OAG heyday,GregHenderson to mixing the album..
In may after a few audition Naza, Mono&Irfan agree to recruiting Moon as the new guitarist for the band...
The first single"SingapuraKualaLumpur" is currently no.1 at amp.channelV.com charts for 32 week in the row!!! GO! GO! with THE TIMES..
“After three records and playing at small gigs & big venue around Malaysia including Singapore for five years straight, we knew what we were capable of,” says the band’s bassist Mono, “we just had to put our money where our mouths were.
